About the Project
The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "SafeClicks: Navigating the Digital World Responsibly" brought together 48 participants, including group leaders, from six different countries for a dynamic and intercultural exchange of ideas, experiences, and skills centred around digital safety and responsibility.
Young people today face a rapidly evolving digital world that presents both extraordinary opportunities and serious risks. Cyberbullying, privacy breaches, online harassment, and misinformation are daily challenges for millions of young people across Europe — affecting mental health, safety, and confidence. These challenges are felt most acutely by youth with fewer opportunities, who often lack adequate access to digital education and support.
The SafeClicks project tackled these challenges head-on by equipping participants with the tools, knowledge, and skills necessary to navigate online spaces responsibly. Beyond protecting themselves, participants were empowered to become advocates for safe and ethical digital practices within their own communities — turning personal learning into collective action. Project Activities
During the exchange, participants took part in a wide range of interactive and creative activities combining non-formal education methods, intercultural exchange, and digital creativity:
- Workshops on Digital Safety — In-depth sessions covering online privacy, misinformation, fake news, and cyberbullying, giving participants a solid foundation of knowledge and awareness.
- Practical Skills Sessions — Hands-on activities where participants learned to manage privacy settings, identify false content, and navigate online spaces more safely and confidently.
- ThinkBeforeYouClick Campaign — A participant-led awareness campaign designed and implemented during the exchange, producing videos, infographics, and online content to promote digital responsibility in their communities.
- SafeClicks E-Book — A collaborative publication compiled by the group, bringing together practical tips and strategies for safe digital behaviour to be shared beyond the exchange.
- “Voices for Digital Safety” Documentary — A short documentary created by participants, capturing their reflections, experiences, and key learnings from the exchange journey.
- Daily Reflection Sessions — Regular moments to connect the day’s learning with Youthpass competences, supporting participants in recognising and articulating their personal development.
- Click & Connect Webinar — An online follow-up activity held after the exchange to present project results and reach a wider audience across partner countries and beyond.
